Combtooth blenny

These little fishes are everywhere in Quiberon’s “treasure rocks”. I have often found them outside the water and thought I was saving them by throwing them back in. But it appears being outside the water is really ok for these strange creatures. Research found that some subspecies basically thrive on land and can somehow “walk”, ressembling amphibians rather than fish… Here’s a recap of the study by the LA times. Credit: Yalakom
